I didn't think any celebrity gossip was more important than posting this story about a 15 year-old Richmond, California girl who was brutally assaulted and raped by more than 5 gang affiliated individuals outside of Richmond High School's homecoming dance this past Saturday. The run-down of the story is discussed in the accompanying video, but I just want to bring this issue to the forefront because as much as I love celeb gossip and the like, this story has really hurt my heart. What the heck is this world coming to??? The all too recent violent events involving the youth of today are very disturbing. First there is the young man killed in Chicago by a group of misguided adolescent boys, then other violent incidents against other youth in various cities, and now this?! Something has got to give because I literally am hurting for the children in today's society. Watch the video and tell me you don't think this is sad.
