Just my thoughts (8/17/09)...

Michael Vick is back... and PETA HATES IT! As a matter of fact, 90% of [insert race here] people hate the fact that he gets a second chance. I was watching Sportscenter a few days ago and PETA released a statement saying that Michael Vick was "laughing" as he watched innocent dogs die... I didn't know PETA had video coverage of the fights. Brett Favre is trying to play again... next subject. #signedtoyoungmoney... This trending topic was pissing me off on Twitter last night. Most people were saying "I #signedtoyoungmoney." Now why would you want to do that? So you can sit on the shelf like everyone else? I wouldn't dare sign to Young Money unless my name was Lil Wayne. What is wrong with BET and these movies?... I have several issues to address with this one. 1. How come they edit movies more than they do music videos? 2. Who decides what movie BET shows and the time slots? (wouldn't be surprised if it was the same program director that works for Power 107.5) 3. Why is it that BET plays the straight to DVD movies with the worst black acting? 4. Who do they change the background to TI's introduction to ATL every week like they are fooling us? 5. Why does TI introduce ATL every time it comes on like its the BET premier? 6. Can you name 5 BET movies without including Baby Boy? 7. Why does all BET programming look like it was done on an iPhone 3G? Where did all the black actors/actresses go?... If anyone knows me, you would know that I am a huge movie buff. I'd prefer going to the movies over the club any night. So awhile back I posed the question; "where are all the new black actors?" Have you realized that the only new black actors are rappers or dancers? I am a fan of Columbus Short, but he is not going to be Denzel, shoot, he's not even on the level of an Omar Epps. The only new black movies that come out are comedies and sports movies, and as for the sports movie recipe, we get it, recruit/hire some black athletes and you will win the game. This statement even held true in Friday Night Lights (LMBO). But, not to get off topic, is Hollywood not ready for the likes of a young upcoming talent? Can we get the part in a movie that makes you think past the opening credits? A drama, sci-fi, an adventure, a love story even. Oh and can we stop hiring Beyonce? We know she has money, but she cannot act for sh**!! She can't even act in music videos, hence why she only dances. I guess we have to put our faith in Maurice Hall!!! Yea Ohio! Look at her, this picture is pure evidence that she cannot act. I don't even want to know what the video would look like.
