SPORTS WITH FONZ: WILL PHIL JACKSON RETURN TO CHICAGO?
The great coach "Phil Jackson" has had a great run as the Lakers coach. But what he's famous for and where his legacy started at is in Chicago. It sems as if the old team has come calling back for Phil's presence.
There has been no direct contact between Bulls officials and Jackson, according to the sources, and people close to both parties have spoken and come away with the belief that Jackson would be open to a potential return in Chicago next season. What does this mean for a young Bull's team that has had a couple trips to the playoffs?
If Jackson was to return to Chicago next season. What would it take for him to come and why would he leave L.A where he has had much success at? It would be nice to see Phil Jackson on that Bull's bench, but I don't think he'll return back. My reason for this is; Jackson came into a great situation in both L.A and Chicago where he had players that could compete for a ring. But going into Chicago next season (eventhough that's my team), they're not strong enough for the east just yet. But it'll be interesting to see what happens.
