Goodluck Bearcats!

Most people might not who the Cincinnati Bearcats are. You all may not know what conference they're in, where Cincinnati is, or what I am even talking about... ... well if you're one of the above people, KILL YOURSELF!!! (not literally). If you don't know, the Bearcats of Cincinnati have a chance of doing something that most said they could not do. Something that has not been done in... well... ever. The have a shot at winning the Big East Championship and going to the Orange Bowl (BCS game) for the first time in.... the history of football. I sat in attendance at their last game against Pitt. It had to have been the middle of the fourth quarter when across the PA system you hear "... a new stadium attendance record f 39,305". Clearly I must have heard wrong as I looked around and saw every seat filled. Bandwagon fans. I was just at the game against South Florida and could clearly sit anywhere I wanted. Then I thought to myself, The Ohio State University sold over 60k Spring Game tickets... That is beside the point, with superior veteran leadership from its defense, UC Bearcats have my vote for sleeper of the year. The secondary is stacked with talent, led by De'Angelo L. Smith (#6), they may be top in the country. I know you are looking at your media guide and reading about Mike Mickens, the guy is nice and deserves credit, but when you look back at all the film, no one throws the ball #6's way. Not with 8 after leading the nation in interceptions last season. We caught Mr. Smith after the game last week and asked a few questions. Read up.   KNG: De'Angelo, what are you repping? 6: Eastside Columbus, OH KNG: So who do you listen to before every game? 6: I like Weezy. I've been a Lil' Wayne fan before everyone else jumped on his team. Back in his Baller Blockin days KNG: HAHA! Yeah that was a long time ago. So can we call you Weezy F Baby Jr?  6: hahaha nah, you can call me Pick #6, D-Lo, D... just don't call me collect. KNG: HA. What is something that you want to share that people may not know about you? 6: Well, dang... that's a hard one. I don't tell my own secrets though. I will let someone else spill the beans. KNG: I can dig it. So when you aren't on the field being a shut down corner, what do you do for fun? 6: I like to play video games, listen to music and just chill out. Nothing much.  KNG: And for vacation? 6: haha I will tell you when I get one of those. KNG: So, how do you feel about possibly getting to play in two bowl games? You all play Hawaii in Hawaii with no chance of ruining your BCS hopes, then will turn around and be in South Beach for the Orange Bowl. That has to be a nice way to vacation right? 6: Well, I'm not looking ahead and as a senior I have to make sure the team is focused and doesn't overlook Syracuse either. They are a real good team and upset Notre Dame last week. If we handle business then the next focus becomes Hawaii, then the bowl. One game at a time. We don't want to shake anything up. Oh, and we want to win all of our games too. Even if they don't have an effect over our bowl birth... if that answers your question. KNG: I can dig it. Well, I aint gonna keep you too much longer. But can you tell the people what street you grew up on? What street you played ball in. Basically why you're the best corner in the game right now. 6: KINGSROWE COURT! And that's no lie! KNG: I HEARD THAT. GOODLUCK THIS WEEKEND BEARCATS!
