Space Jam Care 101 (For those too excited to wait till summer)

For those of you who are sneakerheads, this may serve as no surprise. But those of you out there who just cant seem to wait until summer and choose to rock your investment striaghit out of footlocker be my guest.

Learn how to care for your J's after the jump yo...

Whether you choose to let them marinate for summers to come or rock them day in and out, keeping the soles icy or even clear for that matter will be hard/impossible. The yellowing happens due to a process called oxidation which is the combination of substance and oxygen. When this happens YOU SOLES WILL YELLOW. Ways to slow this process down are quite simple wear them on dry days, stay away from grass , dirt and gravel. Water to space jams are what water is to black women! Stay the hell out of water this only speeds the process up by 50%. The moisture and oxygen combine will give you a for sure yellow coat of pissy goodness on your soles.

Now you can take one of two approaches to slow this process down. You can 1) buy silica packets which you can get from wal mart , wal greens , or CVS or stores of that nature. Silica packs are the little packets that look like packets of salt or pepper that you used to find in your mom's church shoe boxes. These packets are used to control humidity and absorb moisture which moisture is what yellows the soles. i personally recommend you put more than three small packets or one semi large packet.

There is currently one way to correct this issue with yellowed soles and it is called 2) sea glow which was originally created to clean boats. For $20 bucks you can live a little carelessly by visiting www.islandgirlproducts.com. For those of you not willing to come out of pocket, make sure you tip toe carefully. i personally copped two pair but i am  expecting to see a lot of yellow this summer... i can bet on that.
