I am in no way claiming to be a relationship expert, in fact I might be the
last person you want to ask when you need advice concerning your love life. But
one thing I do know a lot about is people, and the culture by which a lot of
them pattern their lives.

For this particular blog I am going to focus on the great city of Columbus and its dating
scene, and why I feel most people set themselves up for failure due to the
myopic (narrow minded) way of viewing things.

I will touch on a few categories within the grand scheme of things, and quote
the one guy who EVERYONE on Twitter seems to be taking love advice

I hate when people say things like “you

Most people need to learn the
difference between SETTLING and being REALISTIC. Whenever I call someone picky,
they respond “I just don’t want to settle”. But if you are sitting back waiting
for the perfect person, then you have settled in your mind that you will be
single for the rest of your life. From what I hear, relationships take work, a
lot of work, I really wouldn’t know because I have been to busy…but I am sure
my parents are right.

A lot of people say “All the good ones are taken”. So I
think if all the good ones are taken then why are you still single? What does
that make you? Word is there are over 100 Million Singles in the US alone. We
can’t all be losers. Lol

At the end of the day, true happiness can not be found until
you learn to love and value yourself. Its sad to see a beautiful young lady
with ugly self-esteemed draped in fashion that only mask her insecurities, sad
thing is, these type usually flock in groups in which they all feed off each
others issues. Even worse are the guys who spend every cent to live up to the “character”
they’ve created through social networks. I pray one day we find true value in
the God given beauty we all posses, but some will continue to march in the
parade of beautiful monsters.
