Just my thoughts (9/14)...

Okay, so everyone knows that this "just my thoughts is a very special VMA edition right? Good. Well, the main topic of discussion is KanYe' West. I need more followers on twitter because I feel as if me and KanYe' were the only two who understood his antics. If Taylor Swift wins the BEST FEMALE video of the year, then the BEST VIDEO of the year either has to go to Taylor Swift OR a MALE! It is as simple as that. The same applies for other Awards such as the Heisman. Society is so caught up in sportsmanship and being fair (when it doesn't count for anything) that it forgets that the point of an awards show is to choose who is THE BEST. I ranted about this last year during the Heisman presentation (pre-twitter). How can 4 different quarterbacks win different awards when all are basically the same? We need to start a "Death of Sympathy Awards" movement. Now lets relate the case to KanYe'. If MTV doesn't give Taylor Swift an award that she obviously didn't deserve (hence Beyonce' winning the unisex VIDEO OF THE YEAR award), then Yeezy sits in his seat and receives his award from Diddy, then performs Run This Town with Jay and Rihanna for the finale. So in turn, it is MTV's fault for trying to be sportsmen and keep it "fair". BEST = BEST... period. Best RT of the night goes to @d_holli614 "KanYe' knows where to do **** like that, I bet he wouldn't have pulled that at the Source Awards"... I concur. Ok, so my next topic of discussion comes because even after KanYe's rant, I thought it was staged by MTV. Something just did NOT sit right on the issue, that is, until Lil Mama brought her $5 a** onstage. Come on, where is the security? Not only is she as irrelevant to hip-hop as a frozen bag of nails, but did anyone see what she decided was cool enough to wear to these awards? #lilmamais WHACK. Simple and plain as that. Shouts out to Fab for starting one of the greatest trending topics in Tweetstory.
