AJ Vash - "Sounds from the Incubator"

Category:

Time changes things. I say this because with the release of
the highly anticipated AJ Vash project, “Sounds from the Incubator”, I can't help
but tear up a bit. To me this was more than a young kid trying to bring his
musical dreams to fruition; it was a coming of age.

I met AJ Vash about 10 years ago, when he arrived at St
Peter Chanel  High School. I was an upperclassmen
selling rap beat mixtapes and he was a young and ambitious freshman trying to
battle rap any teacher, student, or pedestrian that walked by. A genuine glare sparked
in his eyes when he heard a new track, so the release of his new tape is of no
surprise to me. The tape is fresh. It's original and true to form of who I believe
AJ to be. He's not crooning on records, or using autotune. It's full of
audio samples that add to the ambience of the record and original production over which he speaks on relatable topics. The highlights for me were “Yung Kuma” “Growing
Up Sucks” and “Chronic Illness”.  I definitely
hear the potential and I’ll be excited to see what he dreams up next. Check out
the tape below and reach out to him at @AJVash on twitter. It’s a quality listen
from a budding young talent. He’s come along from reciting my bars to paving
his own way and giving the world insight to true passion. Keep up with him, he’s
going places.
