HBO's 24/7: Road to the Winter Classic Preview

Last year's Emmy winning 24/7: Road to the Winter Classic is back for it's 2nd season and I can't wait.

Last year HBO cameras followed around the Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals as they geared up for their New Year's showdown on make sh*t frozen pond on Heinz Field. This year they're following around the New York Rangers and the Philadelphia Flyers as they get ready for their showdown.

If you've watched 24/7 you know how up close and personal they get. It's like what Hard Knocks did for the NFL except the games really matter here and NHL players aren't as nice. 

Who remembers when now fired Capitals coach Bruce Bourdreau stormed into the Capitals locker room during the 2nd period to drop 80 F bombs on his team?

Now consider that Rangers Head Coach John Torts is like batsh*t insane. This is going to make for great television once again. The preview should sell you on watching off the lone fact that NHL players were calling out other NHL players. That doesn't happen in the NBA. 

Considering this is the game where Sidney Crosby suffered a concussion, Claude Giroux should watch out for any errant elbows.
