SPORTS WITH FONZ: COMMERCIAL AD STRIKES A NERVE

NBA commissioner, David Stern, is sensitive to the issue of gun violence, and the NBA criticized the ad.  I understand that Guns are serious matter, in such a business as the NBA, but it's not that big of a deal.  Its not like Nike made any gun gestures.

The Nike ad, which appears in several publications including Sports Illustrated and ESPN The Magazine, has Lebron James on one page and Kobe Bryant on the other. Along with the slogan, "Prepare For Combat," is a quote from each player showing how tough he is.  Kobe: "I'll do whatever it takes to win games. I don't leave anything in the chamber."

I mean really David Stern? I understand that your trying to keep a good clean image for the NBA, and the players as well, but they clearly were talking about a player shooting the ball.
