SPORTS WITH FONZ: FLOYD MAYWEATHER RETURNS TO THE RING AFTER A 16-MONTH LAYOFF

The exciting, sh** talking Floyd "Money" Maywaether is back after a 16-month layoff.  Scheduled to face Victor Ortiz. Sept 17, 2011 for the WBC world championship. 

As a fan of boxing, and of Mayweather, I am happy he's back.. mainly because there are not too many entertaining boxers left to watch.  He brings a certain level of excitement and energy to his fights and, quite frankly, I'm ready to see him embarrass someone with his combination of speed and power. I'm hoping after this fight he'll get in the ring and give the people what they want; Floyd Mayweather Vs. Manny Paquiao. If this fight happens it'll be bigger than, or as big as, Ali Vs. Foreman (Rumble In The Jungle) or Mike Vs. Evander.  This is what the boxing world needs.  We've seen the great matches up in the NBA, Football, MLB Championships.  Now it's time for the Boxing world to get back on top.  Starting with two great fighters Floyd Mayweather and Manny Paquiao.  If this never happens boxing fans will wash their hands with both boxers and give up hope for the sport.
