Columbus, Ohio native and Kingsrowe affiliate, DeAngelo Smith has become a member of The New York Jets. On April 12, 2012, the Jets signed him to a one-year deal as a safety. This will be Smith's 5th team in his 3 year NFL career. Some may say that's a bad thing, but I say it gives him more experience and keeps his drive going.

With only 7 games played as a Detroit Lion and one start, he doesn't have that much experience on the field, but that doesn't mean he isn't good enough; Smith just hasn't got the chance to show his ability to be a ball hawking safety, as he was at the University of Cincinnati.
