SPORTS WITH FONZ: RANDY MOSS HANGS UP THE CLEATS!!
After 13 years in the National Football League, Wide Receiver Randy Moss calls it quits. Moss's decision to retire was completely unexpected, but very characteristic of him; not getting the contract he wanted or not being able to be with a certain team could've brought about this decision. In the past, Moss has been known to show lack of interest in things when he doesn't get his way; this could be one of those moments. It was said that Moss was in the best shape that he's been in, in awhile and was eager to get back on the feild because of a career low in 2010 with the Tennessee Titans; Moss had 393 receiving yards with only 5 touchdowns.
The future Hall Of Famer leaves behind some off the wall stats.
Receptions - 954, Receiving Yards - 14,858, Receiving Touchdowns - 153.
Also, he holds the record for the most touchdowns in a single season with 23 in 2007, the most touchdown receptions by a rookie in a season with 17, the youngest player in NFL history to record his 100th receiving touchdown (29 years and 235 days), and the only player to have 1,600 receiving yards and 16 receiving touchdowns in a season.
These are just the ones that stood out to me as I could go on and on with Randy's stats.
Feel free to type in his name in google search and see what we'll be missing.
